A good dad would give you the answer . Guide his little student . Share his wealth of knowledge . Technology has brought us the internet and it's vast network of Information . No longer do we have to rely on the media and their propaganda and agenda .

Barack Hussein Obama could not make it without the technology of the teleprompter. Hope this helps.

Here are two answers.

One is in the direct use of technology for a politician to gain support, to get his message out, to reach his constituents. John Kennedy and Richard Nixon were the first to televise a pre-election debate, and it had a huge impact on the election. Kennedy appeared young, vibrant, handsome - Nixon appeared old, sickly, ugly. Many people believe that the image created by the television of these two men had far more influence on the vote than policy differences.

Since that time, candidates have embraced technology to their credit or their demise. Most recently, John McCain lost a lot of support by his lack of use or understanding of the Internet. Conversely, Obama exploited it - using the Internet heavily to reach lots of people and do much small-scale fundraising. He amassed a sizable political "war-chest" through small donations from Internet sources. Twitter and Facebook are now very influential information sources for the Internet.

In another area completely, technology represents a huge chunk of our economy; businesses either use or create technology that drives the world. How a politician deals with the business end of technology has a lot to do with the formation of his fiscal and social policies.

For example, Obama made a bold but disastrous political move when he invested $500 million in loan guarantees to Solyndra. Solyndra was a technology company involved in solar energy, a technology vital to our future energy policy. Obama gets a tremendous amount of support from environmentalists, and this move was seen to be very favorable by them. On the other hand, those who believe government should not be involved in businesses, those who are against the use of taxpayer money to "pick winners and losers" in the business community, found this to be tremendously intrusive and over-reaching. It has had a strong effect on Obama's political standing. What do you think?

In another example, Kennedy pledged that we would have a man on the moon before the end of the '60s - which fueled a gigantic development in space-age technology that trickled down to the consumer level, and gave rise to new businesses, increased consumer spending, increased economic activity, the overall health of our economy and opened up avenues to tremendous political good will.

The two examples above show how technology affects politics, but it can be the other way around, also. It is quite possible, and maybe even probable, that the fact that hybrid cars, hydrogen powered cars, solar energy and other forms of sustainable energy have been directly crippled by politics - politicians who cannot think of effective ways to replace the gasoline tax, for example, like to SAY they are in favor of developing new energy technologies, but often find ways of blocking it via taxation, over-regulation or other means to preserve the status quo. Unions, a very powerful political influence (especially the UAW) can be very influential in blocking new technology that might threaten their income streams.

Hope those examples help you.
