The best way would be to talk to him on fb mention a cool place you want to go or are going to go and casually ask him if he wants to join you. Or just be more chatty and friendly to him to the point where he might ask you out instead.

So you think he's cute and that he likes you, well he probably does... guys just aren't very suddle, the only honest advice i can think would be to just breathe and ask him out, just try not to overthink it, because really whats the worst thing that could happen?
And if you really are to scared to ask him, just wait eventually he'll ask you. And make sure you wave and smile at him whenever you see him it will make both of you more confident in talking to eachother.
