How do I stop someone from following me on twitter?

There are a few people who follow me on twitter that I'd rather didn't, is there a way of stopping them from following me that isn't 'protecting my tweets' because I don't want to resort to that. Thanks in advance.

You can block people from following you quite easily. Simply go onto their profile, and next to the 'Follow' button will be another button with a mans silhouette on. Click that and a drop down list will appear. Simply choose 'Block' from that list. Of course there is nothing stopping them from creating another account to follow you with, but this is the best way to do it if you do not wish to add settings which affect other followers.

Beside the follow button on there account there should be an arrow with a person on it
click on it and then click 'Block @-------'
then they wont be able to see ur tweets and stuff
They will know that you have blocked them if they go onto ur page and try to view your tweets and stuff tho.
