How do I find new customers for my Cleaning company?
I have a small cleaning company that I started back in 2009, the problem is that it's hard to find good customers who are willing to pay for my services. My service is very quality and professional and I would love to gain some government contracts or private companies who are willing to pay for the work we do. Any thoughts or comments Help me.. as am lost!!

advertising
if you want to court big companies, you probably need to prepare a neat and tidy booklet about your services, your equipment, your employees, etc
and make appointments to see their purchasing agents

There are several ways to market a cleaning company. One good one is brochures which has been already mentioned, but what you need to include are a few testimonials. You can leave these on bulletin boards, in businesses that allow them, on car windshields, on doorknobs, and in mailboxes.

You can also set up a small website that shows examples of your work with some testimonials.

You can post prices or you can say that you will do free estimates. If your prices are competitive, or are 20% less than the going rates make sure that this is mentioned.

Also come up with some kind of a promotion to get new customers. Maybe a giveaway, or one month at half price, and then after 6 months one week free, or something like this.

Maybe you have another service that you can offer as a freebie or reduced price.

The main thing is to get new customers and then keep them with quality work at affordable prices for them and you.

For your website you can find very inexpensive places to get it set up quickly. It would not hurt to learn a few SEO tactics too. I will add links for a couple of good resources below.

Marketing techniques can really get fun if you have a website. You can use social media and post by region or specifically by the city that your business is in, and you can use Google Maps to help establish a physical address for your place of business, even it you are operating out of your own home.

There are so many social media sites now days that cater to locals and you should take advantage of them.

Cold calling also works for this kind of business. And keeping a list of who you called. Get their names and the names of the decision makers, because you will be calling them again and it always helps to remember the details and be personal even when it is a business or a company that you are calling.

Shoooot for the stars when calling and keep doing follow up calls, and even visit prospective businesses and leave a card and a brochure with the purchasing agent, or whoever is in charge.

Sometimes it can take months and 20 calls before you get a good sound response. Many businesses change cleaning services when the services change their employees, or their services take a turn for the worse.

Churches, and community organizations are other places to leave your calling card (brochure).

And your brochure does not have to be a 4 page leaflet. It can be a one or two sided slip of paper 2"x4" or 2"x6". Any size that is easy to distribute but big enough to notice.

You can also make your brochure functional as a book-marker or you can make it unusual, in the shape of an animal, or a circle that can serve as a glass-holder. There are all kinds of unique ways that you can advertise.

For free marketing tips check one of the links, and for inexpensive help in setting up a website check the other link. You will be amazed at what you can get done for only 5 dollars.
