How do you know when someone sends you a tweet on Twitter?
Like if i ask someone a question on Twitter that i dont follow, how do you know when they answer you back? and even if you do follow the person....how do you know when they specifically ask you?
I gave an email and it informs me when someone follows me, but not when i get a reply... Ads |

When you sign up for Twitter, you have to give an email address and password. If someone replies to one of your Tweets, you should receive an email telling you. The same applies to facebook.

There are private 'Direct messages' which only people that you follow can send you, and there are 'mentions' of you which are public tweets with an @<YourTwitterName> in it. Mentions can be used by someone to send you a 'message' when they can't send you a direct message because you're not following them.
There is a counter for each, private messages and mentions of you, located on your twitter home page under 'home'. You can click on the links there to read direct messages or tweets mentioning you. Direct messages are also forwarded to your e-mail address. |
