inspiron n411z connection with projector?

I just bought a Dell Inspiron n411z laptop (uses HDMI connection) and I am loving it. I have trouble connecting it to my DELL 4210X Projector and this was embarrassing yesterday when I tried to do my job. but it is giving an error "didn't recognise the second display" anyone know pls help me.

Connect the projector to another system to verify if the issue persists.
If yes, try to use a known good cable and verify if it works.
If it works on another system, try to update the chip-set drivers and video driver for the Inspiron N411z.
