I have seen rankings happen in one month. It depends on a ton of factors: What keyword you're competing for; how well your on page seo is; how well your off page seo is; how well your social media is. Last year, it was purely about backlinks, but now the weight of backlinks has gone down, and you have to have a good SEO company (make sure they're not giving you penalty links; do research), and press releases and social media have weight....at least that's what I've seen in ranking my sites. I use three firms; all, semi-expensive, but worth it. pr web for press releases, gts link building for backlinks, and Synnd for social media. All of these are trusted sources--I would talk to a representative on the phone for a consultation. There are other factors as well, but these are the ones that have worked for me. depend on several elements:

1. the on page optimization of your blog, the design, meta tags and content.
2. the competition of your targeted keywords, how competitive is your niche, choosing a medium competition is better.
