What subjects should I choose in high school to become an advertiser?
We have to pick our subjects soon and recently I decided that it would be a good idea to go into the advertising industry because I'm excelling in media studies, excelling in the marking side of business studies and I also am interested in physiology.

I know that there is many parts to advertising, but I want to be the person that creates the ideas and directs the adverts. Not the person who does all the market research and ETC.

So tell me what are good subjects to take to be able to get a degree in advertising!?

You don't need to be worrying about subjects in high school for your college major--even when you start college, you'll be taking general requirements for the first year at least. I would suggest, however, taking as much English/literature/creative writing as you can, as you will need to be as good with words as you can be.

wow is it possible to meet your twin on here? haha im going through the same exact thing. i want to go into advertising but most of the better schools dont have advertising majors specifically. i want to major in communications in college with a minor in psychology. those are good fields to look into if you want to work for an ad agency. In highschool take lots of social science classes like sociology psychology public speaking and communications and not so surprisingly english. colleges like to see that you are already taking classes that have to do with your major in HS.
