Starting my own apparel line?
So i've been thinking lately about how I want to start my own clothing apparel line, but i don't really know how to get started. I only want serious answers, or people answering that may know anything about this. But who would I go to, to give the designs to and who would i do my business through? What kind of theme could i go for? And what kind of program could i use to create the designs?
Thanks!

I'm helping another person working on their apparel line, i have a little/some experience because i tried to pursue the same field. it's not easy and you have to stay consistent and believe in this, if its not your passion u will find yourself with a lot of money wasted. first you need to do or what i did was i draw up designs in my mind or in my vision, im kinda sucky at drawing but i did my best. i was online everyday checking out different clothing companies studying the kind of style i wanted, i draw up what i could then i eventually went to a artist (pay the artist, i did have a friend who could draw but was taking forever to draw and always cancelled appointments, if you paid an artist they will do their best and will be on time) and sat together and we created all the images i envisioned. next i went to the fabric store and studied material and the material i would want for my outfits i also looked online most online fabric stores have really small fabric samples that comes in a big ring for u to go thru when you order so you can go to several sites and order their samples so then you will have every store's total selection. from there was the hard part finding someone to do it, most places wont do 1 or 2 shirts or pants they do bulk which will increase in price so you have to be financially prepared. after you are able to find someone to do your designs next you need go back in business mode. website, advertisement, google ads, facebook ads... all that! good luck! i hope i was able to help you!
