Social Networking users in India?

I want to know social networking users in India.
If possibly distribution of social networking users city wise is more preferable.
Can anyone let me know which city in India has leading social networking users.

The number of Facebook users in India has crossed the 25-million base mark, the social networking site said Thursday.

"Facebook currently has 25 million users in India," said David Fischer, vice president advertising and global operations, Facebook at an interactive advertising and digital marketing exibition, Ad-tech here.

Facebook has almost become the most popular for active interent users in the recent past in India, leaving behind other social networking sites such as Orkut and Twitter.India has over 100 million users. Though the figure is hardly 10 percent of the total Indian population of 1.21 billion, it still puts India at the number three position in the world largest internet users list.
According to the latest report released by comScore, a marketing research company, out of total internet users in India, 84 percent users visit the social networking sites in India. This makes India the world’s seventh largest social network sites visitor.

United state is the largest and number one social network sites visitor country among all the countries with 174.4 million unique visitors in July 2010. It has the growth rate of 23 percent. In the last year in July 2009 there were 131 million users for social networking sites from this country.

China is on number two following US with total of 97.1 million users in July 2010 and is followed by Germany who had 37.9 million unique visitors in July 2010 with the growth rate of 47 percent. It had 25.7 million unique visitors in the July of the last year 2009.

According to comScore facebook is the number one social networking site in India visited by 20.9 million visitors in July 2010. Facebook becomes the number one by replacing Orkut who had about 19.87 million unique visitors in July 2010.

2. Orkut
Being on number one as India’s most popular social site, Orkut is now replaced by Facebook in India. Even, in a July 2010, with a 19.87 million unique visitor Orkut is now on number two with a low double growth of 16 percent as compared to the last year.

3. Bharatstudent.com
Bharatstudent is a student networking site connecting young Indians worldwide. Bharatstudent is on number 3 with 4.4 total unique visitor in July 2010. It has 3 percent growth in its unique visitors as compared to July 2009 over the last year.

4. Yahoo! Pulse
Yahoo! Pulse comes in force by integrated and improved Yahoo! Profiles and Yahoo! 360 and is the fourth most popular Indian networking site visited by 3.5 million unique visitors in July 2010.

5. Twitter.com
On twitter one can discover what is happening right now, anywhere in the world. Twitter with 3.3 million unique visitors in July 2010 is the number 5th social networking site visited by Indians. Twitter had the highest growth rate among all the 5 upper mentioning social networking site increasing 239 percentage from the last year July 2009. 8 percent of total internet users uses twitter in India while it is used by 20 percent internet users in Indonesia and Brazil.

6. LinkedIn.com
Indians are now also using to exchange information, ideas and opportunities through LinkedIn there fore it led to a rise in the uses of LinkedIn in India. It is the sixth most used website in India by 3.3 million unique visitors in July 2010.

7. Zedge.net
Zedge is a free stuff provider for your phone. With the rapid increase in the uses of mobile phone field, Zedge becomes the India’s seventh largest website by 81 percent growth since July 2009 with a total of 3.2 million unique visitor in July 2010.

8. Ibibo.com
Ibibo is another social networking site like Facebook and Orkut. Here one can also play games, send Free Sms etc. With 89 of total growth rate since July 2009, Ibibo had 2.9 million unique visitors in July 2010 and this made him the 8th most popular social networking site in India.

9. Yahoo! Buzz
Yahoo! Buzz was launched in 2008. Following Ibibo, Yahoo! Buzz is on number 9th with total number of 1.8 million unique visitors in July 2010. There is 233 percentage growth rate in Yahoo! Buzz as compared from last year July 2009.

10. Shtyle.fm
Shtyle.fm has the highest growth rate amongst all the 10 social networking sites. It had 281 percentage growth since July 2009. The website is on 10th number with a 1.55 unique visitors in July 2010.
