30-40 yrs ago...hundreds of testimonies from women all claiming to been sexually abused from big stars from that period...problem is
why only now' have they all come out...is it anything to do with money
The late evil Jimmy Saville sexual abuse scandals, has open the floodgates for other big stars to be named as paedophiles..and now it has become an all out witch-hunt and its fair game to be mentioned on twitter face book as guilty
more arrests are in the pipe line..and big names are included who are now in retirement
again I ask..why have these women suddenly all come out and claiming sexual abuse from 30-40 yrs ago

do you think I would go to the police after so many yrs..to hurt and destroy the family and grandchildren

Sexual abuse was not talked about 40 years ago. Many adults would tell a child to "stay away" from someone that had molested their child. My Mom told me about a high school girl in town being raped by two local boys. Rape was only addressed in whispers and gossip back then. I live in the USA.

One of the most evil--if not THE most evil--of all human vices is the pleasure that unthinking, cowardly, moralistic people take in hunting "witches" of various kinds. All of the most gruesome crimes of history have stemmed from this pathology.

And nothing brings the witch-hunters out of the woodwork more than a witch-hunt that is sanctioned and promoted by the government, and that may actually even have a tenuous connection to a real danger.

That is why the hunt for "child sex predators" has become such a booming, boffo, rip-roaring popular success ever since it began twenty to thirty years ago. Otherwise sensible people have become so delirious with the pleasure of hunting "perverts" that they will tell you with a perfectly straight face that when an adult fondles an adolescent, the result is worse than murder. This is no exaggeration. That is what a lot of people have actually come to believe.

The punishments for "child molesters" have become so disconnected from any kind of reality, that such people are routinely sentenced to hundreds and hundreds of years in jail. In other words, they are treated as if they were MORE EVIL THAN NAZI DEATH-CAMP COMMANDANTS.

And it's not just molesters either. Those who lived on the West Coast of the United States in the 1990s may remember a popular liberal talk-show host named Bernie Ward. About five years ago, Ward was netted in a police "round up" of people in Northern California who had been looking at pictures of "children in sexual situations" on the internet. A couple of hundred individuals were named. Ward was found guilty of looking at about five of the forbidden images. And he was then sentenced to SEVEN YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON. Which is where he still is today. He did not molest anybody. He did not create child pornography. He did not even buy child pornography. He merely looked at some existing pictures that were already on the internet.

That is how totally insane the War On Sex has become.

Apparently in some cases they were told ,not all girls want to draw attention to themselves and are very embarrassed about it, heard a girl on a London tube give verbals to a man,another man hit him,silence in the carriage,

The words "abuse" and "molest" don't mean an awful lot to many people. We can say them without having to think of what that man actually did to that little child. Girls and boys are raped. Yes raped - not just some bland word like "molest" which means nothing. When a little girl has been raped, held down and raped, and she tells her mother and the mother punishes her for saying such terrible things....maybe that little girl learns to shut up and never talk about it. And maybe it takes a long time before she can ever talk about it.Maybe she can't talk until she hears that some other girl has been brave enough to say something. Maybe it does take 30 years. Does 30 years mean that it didn't happen at all ?

I was raped 50 years ago, my friend. I was 12. And its just as raw and painful as it was 50 years ago. Don't speak about things you know nothing about.

Isn't it interesting, how these girls can all have their "repressed memories" resurrected at the same time? If all this buggery of small boys and playing with little girls was actually going on, wouldn't it be considered normal behavior? Seems as if most of the population was involved.

As reprehensible as these acts seem to be, we MUST have something better than the well coached, and rehearsed, memories of some kid, trying to get even with old uncle so and so for a real or imagined slight, as "evidence".. Followed by some more people looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

Most of the people making these 30 and 40 year old complaints are having psychological problems. Their therapist decides that's the reason for them. Next we have an allegation of abuse. This is hearsay evidence from a questionable source ruining the career of a productive member of society. We see this sort of thing happening in the US everyday. Even after the accuser recants his/her testimony, the stigma remains. The career is ruined.

A local teacher couldn't get his job back. The accuser recanted the day after the teacher was arrested!! It still took a couple of days to get the teacher out of jail!!!

They were afraid to say anything before but now that others are doing it, it seems safe to do so. But I have a hard time believing it's celebrities who are doing the molesting. This might even be a deal where the media is using this to distract from the real problems they need to deal with in the UK. They should deport all the Muslims for instance but that would be too hard to do. Yet if they don't they will take over.
