what do I need to get a girlfriend?

alright, hi, I'm a 17 year old guy who never had a girlfriend, funny hein x)
personnality? I'm a nice guy,not the talkative type, I do flirt with girls when I want to, not that shy guy in the corner but I surely do like being alone sometimes!
appearence? let's see, I'm 6ft3,1m93 to be exact , and people keep saying that it's a plus but it has never helped me anyway, I weigh 80 kilograms so I'm not fat, not skinny. I've been told that I look huge....oh well :/ I just wanted to know, what does it need to have a girl who maybe likes me, cares about me (sounds weird x) ) ? how did you get a girlfriend if you're a guy? and any advice in case you're a girl? Get out and about and meet girls and be sociable.Talk to them and make friends.Once you start meeting girls then it should be easy to find one you click with and take it from there.
Dont come across as desperate,just be chilled and easy going.

You gotta get out there more. Hang around a guy who gets alotta girls & take mental notes on what he does. Then, practice it. Youll get a gf. But honestly, girls r trouble. Focus on school & graduate & then find a gf

At your age the 'attraction' thing is really about physical looks and how fun someone is. Later on in life, these things sort of go out the window. But for the moment, I give you the following advice from the female prespective. Teenage girls look for:

- a boy who has a 'clean appearance', someone who looks after themsleves such as clean teeth and clothes and well kept hair. All these things count towards your overall impression.
- a boy who has 'a life', someone who has hobbies and interests and things to talk about and look forward to.
- a boy who share 'the same common ground', someone who is kind will like someone who is kind, someone who takes school seriously will also be a good student, same religious beliefs etc
- a boy who can get to know her and have the guts to just ask her out and see how it goes without a big nervous drama or gossip, someone who wants to try some sort of 'first relationship' and be sweet about it

for CONFIDENCE: this is the first thing you need to have if you would really like to have a girlfriend. As a guy, you need to be CONFIDENT. you need to be fresh inside and out, and you must have this right amount of courage to talk or ask a date on a girl.

for HONESTY: or SINCERITY, is also one of the most important things that a man needs in order to hook a girl. while you are courting her, you should be HONEST OR SINCERE of what you feel about her. you should not hide any feelings for her, because sometimes these can cause them to unlove or dislike you...so be honest =)

for HUMOR: being a guy, we should also be "FUNNY" sometimes, that is to show girls that we also have this what we call "HUMOR". be with that girl that you really wanna be with and tell her some jokes sometime, that'll surely help you.... just trust me.
