Sales is an activity that involves selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity. The goal of the school is to make money. Therefore they promotes their bake sales by advertising which can be word of mouth or facebook, etc. By doing that, they increase buyers. The more buyers, the more money they make in order to cover their cost and even profit. For example the school has operating costs which includes utilities, rent space, employee expense, etc. and they need to pay it. In order to get that money, they need to sell their products which is bake sales.
