Does anybody know of ways or somewhere to go to start my dream of becoming a paranormal investigator?

If you really want to start this then forget the tv show and actully just focuse on the paranormal. Look it going be shit the first go but go out and but digital recorders some cam's and get some people willing to stay up long nights. I say to start there then look for places of tragic death's places where large amount of blood was spilt and just set up and go to work. Goodluck.

Hello I am the co founder of our paranormal group ..Unlike what other people are saying..DON'T START your own group right away because it is not only expensive but you need to really know what you are doing..my advice is to search on the web for teams in your area and call/email them and find out what you need to do to get on with them. Later on once you have money and experience if you want you can start your own group ..Good Luck
