I need help on how to go about finding customers within my target demographic. I need to increase sales fast.?
I have a small business Customizing Sneakers, and we have become very popular on myspace and now I am building up a buzz on Facebook, but my partner and i are not getting consistent sales. Our Custom Sneakers start at $200 and up. I have passed out tons of fliers but to no avail it seems to get very little customers if any to buy. Although we are going through Economic hardships I have sold to a lot of people already. My thing is I would like to keep up our sales. The average customer that actually buys our Customized Sneakers from us can Barely afford it and most times they probably regret it later all at the cost of looking fresh. Then I get Customers that will spend because they appreciate the time and effort put into the Custom Sneakers. And we constantly get guys trying to low-ball our prices and im getting a little frustrated. I appreciate any help or advice.

Check out http://www.twt4u.com to start a Twitter account. This will be seen by many and the word will travel faster than you know. My small business grew so much in just the first 2 weeks. I doubled the traffic on my website also.

It sounds like you have a passion for this business and compassion because you see the economic hardships some of your clientele go through to "look fresh."

If you keep selling to people who can't afford your product, your business will eventually fold - weak foundations produce weak results.

So, you need to:

1. Identify a new target market(s) that can afford your product.
2. Identify the problem that market has that your product solves.
3. Identify the methodology by which that target market communicates - medium, langauge, etc.
4. Position yourself as the expert in your specific niche.
5. Position your product so that it has no competitors.
6. Build a community around your product and expertise.
7. Create tiered pricing so you can reach across markets.
8. Market, market, market!

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Good luck!
