How do I get tweets sent to my iPhone?
I have the iPhone 4.
I want to get tweets sent to my phone as text messages from specific people.
Like whenever they tweet, I get a text.
But I don't see the option to do that on either the app or the mobile version of twitter.
So what do do??

use the desktop version and click in your account, then settings and SMS. If you want use the desktop version of twitter on iphone 4, use an app that fake browsers like "mercury web browser" and set it to "google chrome" or use AlwaysOnPC

Go to https://twitter.com/settings/devices and set up your mobile information. After you set it up, there's a few settings on the same page; check what kind of texts you'd like to receive. DM's, @mentions, or when someone follows you. If you want to receive tweets from specific people (like you mentioned), check off "Tweets from people you've enabled for mobile notifications" and save. To make this work, go to the users profile (twitter.com/username) and look in the top right hand corner. There should be a black figure; click on it and go to "turn on mobile notifications". Now whenever they tweet, you'll be able to receive each one via text.

To turn off this feature, do the same thing except now "turn off mobile notifications" will be displayed.
