how can i start affiliate marketing?

I need to know the basics and build my way up from there.

I already know what I want to base my theme around, but how do I begin? Where do I begin? Once I have started, what do I do from there?

Also, please don't comment about 'how its not going to work' or 'making money online never works'. I know it takes time to build anything.

First you need to sign up with Clickbank, Commission Junctionor any other affiliate program you have in mind. Then you need to create a website around the product(s) you are promoting. After that, you need to market your site properly, which is the really hard part. Some way to market it are article marketing, social media and using seo tactics.
