Does any1 know how to send a message on twitter?

trying to send someone a message im following on twitter but have no clue how to do it.did it before but i must have forgot or got lucky that day.

If the person is following they might have read your tweet in their stream

But to direct a tweet as someone use @ as is @username your message here. so if you direct a tweet as me you would write @ig4mer this is my tweet.

They would see your tweet (if they are using twitter.com) in their @username tab under home in the right hand side formerly called replies.

If they are following you can you don't want other to read your message, you can send a direct message under the @username tab. But you can only send a direct message to someone who is following you.
