Will this be allowed on Twitter?

Okay, I already have a Twitter account but I wish to make another one which will be dedicated to a special cause/person (actually, a sports-person). I wish not to hide my identity and want to keep it open and will even promote the new account using my earlier one.

Will this dual account thing be allowed? Will Twitter authorities have any problem or ban me?

You can indeed, according to Twitter they have no problem with this as long as you use separate email accounts for each twitter account.
