a lil help please????????????
My friend posted this on Facebook.....
For those of you who don't know..Nick has Autism..which also brings obsessive compulsive behavior..His latest ocd thing is sucking/biting his lips. It started 4 weeks ago. It almost gets healed then BAM! ..the doctors have no advice..I've tried some otc meds, etc..NOW I turn to my friends on fb. Any and ALL suggestions are welcome. I'm ready to friggin lose it over here! this is something he has no control of so taking things away isn't really fair..have at it now...

This may not be OCD, but "stimming" behaviour, so I suggest that you view, and print the full post on autism at http://your-mental-health.8m.com/blank_21.html for his primary care provider. OCD (less likely) is addressed on pages 1, & H. You didn't state your relationship, or his age. A previous answer follows:

Firstly, I strongly recommend optimising your child's vitamin D3 levels, as explained below. See: http://www.plantpoisonsandrottenstuff.in...asein.aspx refers.

The incidence of autism has increased several hundred percent since WW2, and Dr. Mercola, at http://www.momsfightingautism.com/ and take part in their regular Webinars, where they have experts advising parents on their particular problems.

Make photos, or pictures of the things s/he regularly uses, or wants, such as his toys, cup, and ones of someone rubbing their stomach, to indicate hunger, and the toilet, etc. Put them back to back, and laminate, then put on a suitable cord/chain around his, or her neck, so s/he can communicate his, or her needs and wants by showing you the relevant picture. Make similar ones so you can communicate what you want, as well, such as getting in the car, and going to school. See http://specialedandme.files.wordpress.co...0/pecs.jpg and Google: "Picture Exchange Communication System".
