Teens, is it weird that I don't have FaceBook/Twitter accounts?

My friends are always asking me why I don't have either of them. I permanently deleted my FaceBook account awhile ago because it was getting old, and I don't see a point in making a Twitter account because I'm not famous, so who cares about my statuses?

No its not weird! Im the same. I hate twitter and i hate facebook. The only reason i still have a fb is because its the only way to contact my cousins over seas. Plus no one is ever on fb anymore. I love instagram and tumblr

My 16yr olds best friend doesn't have a Facebook or Twitter account. She is not active online either. It is her own choice.

You are free to do as you please. My parents & sister refuse to get on Facebook &/or Twitter. But they are more paranoid about it. lol They don't feel it is safe. I tried explaining how even if you have never been online in your life like my mom, yet a simple Google search of their names can find anything and everything. Pay a little money and you get so much more.

If or when your friends bug you about this just try to let it go. It is your choice and that is all that matters.

It's not weird. I'm 18 and don't use facebook or twitter. I made a facebook and twitter before to fit in, but I never posted anything. Does anyone care what I had for lunch? Do they want to see a picture of it? Probably not. I guess I am just not a very social person.
