What's the exact definition of micro-blog?

I've seen and have built sites which I may not understand. Facebook is a social network, wordpress and blogger are blogs, twitter.com and helpspread.com are micro-blogs. But they seem like social network to me too. So, what defines and differentiates them?

microblogs and social networks often times overlap each other. when people submit content that's not 'full page' is part of how its defined, in my mind.
