GUYS I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP/OPINION?

Ok, so I was at a dance and this was like a while ago
but like i went to a dance and my friend said that i should go talk to R (lets call him that)
but then another girl came and said that I needed to talk to S and it was urgent, so i went to go see S. I have never met R in person, though we have talked on facebook lol and I S ended up asking me to prom. this was quite a while ago but I am not going out with him anymore. The thing is I am really curious why R wanted to talk to me. Should I ask him and be like, "hey I remember at a dance my friends said I should talk to you? what's up? " i really want to know, the thing is that it was a while ago but I still want to be friends with him.

do what you said its a good enough idea and prom really that's not till 6 months for you i guess, tell them to let you think if you don't know who to pick but if by prom you mean another dance that's coming up soon than go with the cutest guy or which ever you like better
