how do i fix this, please !?

So I recently blocked a friend on Facebook not knowing that once I do that it deletes them from my friends list. I unblocked them within like ten minutes and tried to re-add them but for some odd reason FB wont allow me to add them. I click on the "Add as Friend" button on my friends wall but then this message "You have already sent a request to connect" comes up. When I click ok and close out of it the Add as Friend button is still there and doesn't say friend request pending. It seems as if nothing went through. What does this mean and why can't I add this person? Any help would be just awesome. Thank you so much

Try messaging them and telling them you accidentally blocked them. They have to accept your friend request again.

When you un-block someone you need to wait 48 hours to be able to re-add them.
