Internet Access Essay - Need help with a conclusion.

The 21st century is the age of computer technology. It has changed every aspect of our lives. It has influenced the way we communicate and the way we exchange information. The internet has truly transformed the world.

In the years of 1960 and 1970, information technology was limited to those working in banks, mathematical engineers, and computer scientist. In the 1980’s, the new arrivals of personal computers made it possible to use in many other areas, and for the purpose of business, storage tapes were invented by a network administrator to connect the employee workstations. The information was stored in a server far from the business.

The internet has made our lives easier and faster ever since it was invented. It is so advanced now that there are more advantages than disadvantages. The internet is the best way to communicate with other people wherever they may be. We have programs which the internet is supporting such as Skype, and MSN. One of the advantages is education. We can research our homework or assignments online, listen to all different kinds of lectures, play educational games, and plenty more.
The internet makes our technology more exciting and more interesting, with the internet now available on mobile phones, tablets, gaming consoles, digital television, laptops, notebooks, and PC’s. You can also get the internet just about anywhere. We no longer need to leave the house to meet new people. Since the internet, chat rooms, and social networking have changed the way we communicate. We no longer need to write a letter, you can just send an e-mail in matter of seconds, and wait for a reply. Businesses have started using e-mail so they can reply faster to their clients, customers, and/or colleagues.

Before the World Wide Web students had to go to the library to do their research. Nowadays you have all the information at your fingertips. Through Facebook, and Twitter, you can have friendships with people from all different countries – from China to Zimbabwe. Along with networking sites, it’s easier to stay in touch, and keep in touch with friends and family. The whole world is like your very own personal shopping mall when it comes to online shopping. You can shop all night long, literally! You can click through catalogues, and check out new sales, it’s all right there, and you can do that without leaving the bed. Online shopping means better prices, no taxes on most items, and more variety without having to visit a number of stores, plus, when it arrives it’s like getting a little present. Instead of going into the bank every so often, online banking is so much more useful for managing your finances. If you’re a busy parent or you’re unable to work, but still want to, you can always work from home. Instead of looking in the newspaper for jobs, you can simply look online. Video sharing sites such as YouTube have become one of the most important sites of the 21st century. It is a website that has a lot of entertainment - from people uploading their own videos, to pranks, to T.V shows, to music videos, anyone can upload a video to the site in seconds with an audience ranging into the hundreds of millions. Webcams are very useful. Loved ones on the other side of the world can log onto Skype or MSN to see and talk to one another. The internet and social networking sites are also useful for advertising. Companies and business use the World Wide Web to promote or broadcast their latest products.

The disadvantages are that the internet creates a path for criminals who destroy the privacy of families. Pornographers are the web sites that use sexual materials, are easy to reach because there isn’t enough security on the internet protecting under aged children from going into unknown websites and becoming victims of sick criminals.
