I may be wrong about the republican part, however, "Conservative" candidates show no indication of that record.

No, I'm not surprised at all. There's a belief that if you'll believe one fantastical thing, you'll believe any fantastical thing.

Not really, lower taxes, smaller government, and less government interference in our lives is a really radical ideology.

No surprise at all. A film maker named Taki Oldham infiltrated some of the tea party's key events , including the 2009 -Defending The American Dream summit, convened by a group called Americans For Prosperity. The Koch brother gave the money that founded the tea party. The film shows David Koch addressing the summit opposing Obama's health care reforms. Suddenly the tea party conservatives are attending republican events opposing Obama care. They are on Twitter and Facebook opposing Obama's health care reforms. The koch brothers have set up dozen of tea party events all over the red states where David Koch promotes his politics to the tea party. He also pays John Boehner, the tea party appointee very well. Why because the Koch brother want their oil, coal, logging and chemical companies deregulated and they want to keep their tax breaks on the 100 billion a year income since they own 84% of their company that is a nice paycheck. They don't want to pay tens of millions in fines and settlements for spills and industrial accidents. Talk about greedy and heartless that is the Koch brothers.
