Is it illegal to like a discriminating post on Facebook?
Basically I liked a meme on Facebook, it was a picture of a fellow classmate of mine (who I'm friends with) and it discriminated him. Now apparently I can get in big trouble with my school for that, is it even illegal?

Discrimination is not illegal. However, there are some illegal forms of it. It depends which you speak of.

If it was racially discriminatory then yes.
Go back, unlike the picture. Watch what you like in the future |

Heres the thing, schools have their own rules that can be completely different from the law. According to the law, what you did wasnt illegal, it falls under your right to free speech. But under the schools policy, it could be considered bullying. So is it against the law? No. But you could get in a little trouble in school, but its no big deal. Its nothing serious.

remember:
"FACEBOOK IS NOT YOUR FRIEND" Just about anything you do on facebook can get you into trouble. That's why so many people are not using it. |
