Technically you don't but if you do it would make the fan page more legitimate and more people would like it. Ive seen plenty of fan pages where people have very little knowledge about the actual thing.

When you use information and photos owned by a certain websites you have to respect their authority. To avoid conflict I suggest you to contact the admin of that certain forum. This will make your fan page more legal and credible.
