seems like i get this pop up with a phony notification that I'm infected. It is not my antivirus, but some phoney scareware. Are others getting this too over the last few days? when on facebook?

I actually had it happen to me last week. I'd go to a new page and it would come up, so I tried googling the site that it had in the address bar (it was always random) and I couldn't find anything. I did a virus scan with AVG (which I recommend) and it spotted it, so I removed it. Now I don't have any other problems.

I used my grandmas computer the other day to access my Sorority Life application and it came up as a virus alert, which I found sort of weird.

What I suggest you do is go through your applications and take off the ones you don't use anymore.
To do this you click 'settings' on the blue horizontal bar, then 'application settings', go to where it says 'show:____' and set it to 'authorized'. X off all of the ones you want to. Afterwards, run a virus scan (if you don't have one.. get AVG), and check for spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy as well.
