I told him i like him, but he didn't reply ? Why?

i've like this kid for a while. i told him over message because i can never get him alone! he saw the message, (facebook told me. lol) but he didn't reply. i messaged him saying " hey ^.^ " he replied to that message with a "hey(: "! we talked for a while, anyways! He still treats me the same, we still flirt, we still talk, we still do everything we did before. it seems as if he likes me too . I like him a lot. Did he do this because he's shy when it comes to relatioships? or why didn't he reply ?

I did this exact same thing last year, he didn't respond until i asked if he got the message. he is just really scared about getting into a relationship or, sorry to say this, he might like another girl. Sorry to say this but the guy i told asked a girl out 5 min after i told him. Just keep doing the things you are and maybe in a couple of weeks he might be comfortable enough to get into a relationship. Just stay strong girlly!!!
