How do I hide my comments and likes in the new news stream on Facebook?
With the new update on Facebook there is the news stream on the right hand side. I don't want everyone to be able to see what I've commented on and what I've been liking all of the time. How do I make it so that I will not appear in any of my friends stream? I just feel it's very intrusive since it comes up with things that I have been saying or liking all of the time.

I was offered this . . . *Please do me a favor... please hover over my name here, wait for the box to load and then hover over the "Subscribe" link. Then uncheck the "Comments and likes" choice. I would rather my comments on friend's posts not be made public. Thanks** Then repost if you don't want your EVERY MOVE posted on the right for everyone to see! I'll do the same for you if you want, just click "like". Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is not completely true. I found that unsubscribing from comments and likes from a person does not keep these comments and likes from that same person from being posted on the right hand "twitter-like" news stream--it just keeps them from being on of the posted constantly on your regular feed. And regardless, this does nothing to give you the personal choice of not having your comments and likes (and status--another thing everyone will be updated on constantly) not being visible to everyone on your list. The only thing you can do is add to your restricted list the "friends" whom you don't really want to see every move you make.
You can also make a list of people you trust most and only post to them. But again, that doesn't prevent everyone from seeing your comments and likes and status in the news feed.
All this info was visible before if someone really wanted to go to your wall personally and take the time to look at what you were doing. But how many people would do that? Now anyone can see your comments and likes and status as they are made, and them unsubscribing only takes them off that person's wall. They will still show up on the right hand feed.

I've got the same question. Surely Facebook has an answer because this is going to be a fucking issue with me.
