Pretty funny, I thought. He told the truth and they cut him off.

Interesting interview. For a network that touts itself as "Fair and Balanced", there doesn't seem to be much room for dissenting opinions.

This is pretty typical of Fox "News". Distort the truth, lie, cut off those that give the truth or edited it out of the broadcast.

Tom Ricks is a military expert. That was Fox News' first mistake. The producer who booked Ricks thought he had booked a military eunuch, which is standard operating procedure at Fox News. So all the elements for a disaster were present including, of course, a host who was badly overmatched for a battle of wits. What else could the poor producer do? He had to throw in the towel or the Fox News host would have sustained an on-air beating that would have landed him on life support. And since Fox News offers shitty health care insurance to its employees, that would have been a devastating financial blow for the host and his family to suffer for no good reason.

Okay? Are you happy now? Tom Ricks may be pleased with his performance exposing Fox News' coverage of the Benghazi firefight as inaccurate and wildly inflamed for partisan political purposes, but he hurt the feelings of some real people in the process. How can that EVER be justified? The truth is never more important than feelings, which I admit is the Fox News corporate motto, but that doesn't make it any less true. Shame on Tom Ricks for thinking that stiff-arming Fox News' falsehoods and talking truth to power can ever be justified if it hurts someone's feelings at Fox News. It isn't right, and it will never be right.

Take care, Manny.
