I like this girl and i really like her since last year and we havent talked since the year started but?

she asked whats my name (but i found it strange because we talked towards the end of the year last year and we had 3 classes together and sat next to her) since that she has been saying hi to me everyday and all i could talk to her is about a essay but idk anything else to talk to her about. I have her as a friend on Facebook, i wanna send her a message saying hi but i dont know i to take it from there. Any advice.
*BTW the only class she says hi to me is in spanish which is the last class we have and we both are hispanic.
