How to block Become a Fan notices on Facebook?

On the right side people can add pictures of family and you can view them. Not a problem. Problem is when people become a fan of a site you get a notice plus an invite. Is there a way to block this from coming up? Some of the sites are inappropriate for my daughters. It's the part on Facebook that says "Joe Smith has become a fan of (say) Playboy) How can I block this from showing up or there should be a way to delete it if you don't want to see it.

Just take ur mouse to top-right corner, an option of "hide" will appear.
Click on it.
