What do you think of the Wii U?
So what do you think of the Wii U? I own a Wii and will not be getting a Wii U soon. Instead I'll be getting a PS3, PS2 (ordering from Amazon) and a 3DS. I think the Wii is awesome, and I know the Wii U is awesome. But I'll be waiting for the greatest franchise to have a game on it, Zelda. Smile What do you think of the Wii U?

It's the best console out on the market right now, but Sony and Microsoft will make their move soon enough. I'm saving my money until then.

WiiU is an amazing console. Across North America they have sold 400,000 copies and for every game they sell after that they make a profit. Playstation and Xbox had to wait for 4 years before they saw any profit.... This is one of the best consoles i have played and I cant wait for more games to come out for it

FYI, they announced a new Zelda game that will be the biggest game yet, they have hundreds of people working on it and will be released in 2013-2014 (probably when Microsoft and Sony come out with they're consoles)

for more updates google: G4 Tech Tv and WiiU Daily

Hi

Agree, Wii U is awesome...Sadly nobody explained to you exactly in full detail'' why they feel that way...Hopefully,, Yahoo will let me ,Blog the whole thing..Now before I share my review thoughts on Wii U'' Please'' make sure, you will buy it next year.. As a Owner myself. it has left a great impression on me..Smile

Remember back in the good ol' days when video game consoles did one thing: play games? You bought the system, bought a game, took 'em home, connected it to the TV, inserted one into the other and started playing right away. Well, those days are long gone. Not that I'm really complaining, though. All these new features just make my WiiU final evaluation more difficult to pin down.

So against the better judgment of my bank balance I ended up pre-ordering a Wii U about days before Black Friday'' I was surprised Best Buy had many of them in Stock, and the lines were short early in the mornings.. So I chatted with a few male & female gamers before the Store open, quickly bought the Wii U Deluxe Console...and want home...

In short, I'm enjoying Nintendo's new console quite a bit. I've had the chance to play Nintendo land multiplayer with a few other people as well as trying all the single player variants. It is a very well put together party game , a fantastic showpiece of all the various ideas you can pull off the gamepad has well as the logical extensions of the ideas present on the regular wii.

Mario bros. U is the best entry in the new mario series, taking most of it's inspiration from the classic snes entry- mario world and some inspiration from mario 3 , what's there is just a nice mix of those classics as well as many of the features we've all come to expect from the previous 3 new Mario titles. If you only buy a single game for the wii U, I'd say this is a perfect choice unless for some reason you hate Mario games.. and in that case I'd really have to wonder why you would buy the system then... For me personally I don't think it's quite as good as Mario 3 /Mario world were but nostalgia clouds old minds like mine. My only hope is that Nintendo takes a break from new Mario brothers from now on. I would be content to not see a new one until the next wave of Nintendo consoles is released in 4-5 years. Even then I'd hope they try something new next time.

Ninja Gaiden razors edge is a decent port of a crappy game. Well, I should say a much less crappy game now, I'm sure it's been mentioned in every review and preview around the net by now but this is firmly a case of a title being stripped down to bones and layered with new tissue. It looks better , feels better and is only held back slightly because that skeleton holding it all together was a bit diseased to begin with. Tongue My analogy might mean little but I'll just say if you played and enjoyed Ninja Gaiden/black/sigma or Ninja Gaiden 2/sigma 2 in last few years that you should play this version of 3 and skip the 360/ps3 edition entirely. For everyone else, be forewarned it's a hard game that is a little unforgiving on default difficulty for new players. There is a "hero" mode that makes it much harder to end up getting killed while playing but where's the fun in that ?

The Mii Plaza on WiiU displays insignias for various topics (NintendoLand, NSMBU, eShop, etc). Around each insignia are a bunch of Mii's from Miiverse walking around. These Mii's are not randomly selected, they are chosen when one of their tweet-like messages reaches a certian threshold of popularity in the form of "yeahs" (Miiverse's iteration of Facebook's "like" button).

The Gamepad is rockin' my world right now. is the star of the show, and has all the features one would expect from a pseudo-handheld. Aside from the button layout and dual-sticks, it's basically the bottom half of a 3DS with a much bigger screen. By that, I mean it has a mic, speakers, stylus slot, volume slide, camera, headphone jack, touch screen, gyro senser. On top of all that, it rumbles.

My Final thoughts are, So it comes down to the ultimate question then really- Is the Wii U worth the money ? Should you buy it ? I've got the same answer as I did in my 1 week month blog for that one- it comes down to games. These consoles are all meant for gaming first , everything else second. You don't buy a toaster to use it as a microwave or an alarm clock to use as a radio and well you don't buy a Wii U to play movies but it CAN. On netflix etc at least.
