What is the # on twitter mean when it has words following it?
Whenever I see my news feed on twitter, a lot of people's tweets have, for example: #ilovethissomuch, but its a link? I am wondering what that means, how you do it, just explain it to me please thank you!

It's called a hashtag. You just type #wordhere. It's used for keeping track of how many post on a particular subject. Like if you say "Charlie Sheen so crazy #charliesheen" or something, then you click on the hashtag, you go to a bunch of posts about Charlie Sheen.

It's Hashtag. It is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.
Hashtags: helping you find interesting Tweets - People use the hashtag symbol # before relevant keywords in their Tweet to categorize those Tweets to show more easily in Twitter Search. - Clicking on a hashtagged word in any message shows you all other Tweets in that category. - Hashtags can occur anywhere in the Tweet. - Hashtagged words that become very popular are often Trending Topics. |
