Are they my friend on Facebook?

I sent this girl I knew a friend request, but she never accepted it. Then, her photos that she was tagged in showed up on my home page. I checked my friends list seeing if this meant that she accepted my request, but she wasn't there. I don't know how her photos showed up on my home page though. Does this mean she accepted it or not? I'm confused. Thank you!!!

It's because she has subscribers enabled.

If any of your friends are friends with the girl who didn't accept your request, then Facebook still shows the photos, because your friends were involved with it. If your friend is also tagged in the photo, it will shows up on your page. Also, there is a privacy setting which means "friends of friends" can see things, only "friends" can see things, and only "you" could see things. Another thing is, if your friend likes a photo that she was tagged in, then that's how you get those on your page. Subscribers can be enabled, and so on. Hope I helped clarify!!
