What do i say to him?

I really like a guy in my school.
He is really shy around everyone, we talk and we have a lot of bands in common.
I am yet to learn more about him.

I am dancing with him for social dancing ( Scottish dance practice) because i asked him to be my partner. He was asked by another girl but told me he would go with me on Thursday. He kept saying sorry and i told him it was okay and he invited me to go into the school cafe with him because he had prefect duty (make sure the young kids behave) I said i had to go because i had to meet with my friends and they were waiting.

We talk on facebook when he's online, and we get to know each other.
He waved at me first yesterday shyly and i waved back. My friend has noticed when he is around me he gets shy, quite and nervous around me.

When we danced last week (because girls had to change partners) he looked miserable with the other girls but when i danced with him i told him so smile so he did and when we danced her kept smiling because i made him and when i moved on he didn't smile anymore. So i walked up to him at the end of the lesson and told him to smile and he did again and walked off!

I am going to lunch with him next week at some point, i asked him after school today and he agreed. I told him to pick a day and tell me on facebook.

I really like this guy,
how do i tell him i like him back without making it weird?
Or should i wait a while more?
I would really like some help with this.
Has anyone had any experience?

Please, i don't want mean answers and i don't want cocky ones too!

You can keep flirting with him and see if he responds back proportionally. You need to coax him out of hiding and to ask you out.

If he still doesn't break, you can tell him you like him indirectly, mabye by giving him a Christmas present or B-day present. That should be a clear sign.

If he doesn't get it by then, you will have to do the last resort and actually tell him you like him.
