HELP ME PLEASE! I NEED TO FIND SOMEONE! :(?
Since I was 5 I've literally been growing up with this girl that my mum used to drop me off to while she went to work, she was 1 or 2 years older than me and we got along really well, we used to play games and always have a nice time, i actually never remember getting annoyed with each other, we couldn't do without seeing each other, this went along till i was 12, 13 and slowly mine and her family came apart (without realising) we lost their numbers, we heard that they were sent back to their country but then she was allowed back because she wanted to finish school. I know for sure they are somewhere in England with her mum but i just cannot find her. I'm 18 years old now, and I miss this friend of mine so much Sad she was such a nice person. It's going to sound awkward after this but here we go...

I started searching her on facebook, her sister, her mum and father but none of them came up. I found out which address she used to be in (the house we went to) but they moved out from there. I know the postal code of where she is living now but London is such a big city it would be impossible to find someone by their postal code.

I promise you I am not a stalker it's just I miss her so much and I can somehow feel she's looking for me too. We had to move to another city when i was 14 so it became harder to keep in contact. I just want to find her and meet her for the last time and have a little chat but don't know how.. my question is how can i find more information about her without paying scam websites like 123people.com

thank you in advance.
I am not a stalker, i'm just trying to find my old friend that is it, stupid people.

You could always try the Electoral Register for the area concerned, but it would be a long job! Ask at your local library about the register.

It's CERTAINLY possible, to find someone by their postcode! I've done it, found an old school-mate by his postcode and the Electoral Register. A postcode only covers 30 front-doors in an area - after that, the last character changes, e.g. SO12 9RC becomes SO12 9RD for another 30 properties, and then it becomes SO12 9RF for the next 30 front doors, and so on.
Worth a trip to London, go knock on some doors!

Youre doing this at a good time, because once girls get married..that just makes it so much harder to
find. You dont know their new last name.
Maybe she is looking for you too, so make yourself "out there" too ( in a safe way)
Put something on your Facebook page " Looking for Katie " .
Sometimes people see old friends and think.. "theyve moved on and dont want contacted by me"

Google every possibility you can think of - parents names, her name
Put quote marks around the name like "Katie Jones" " Katie Jones" " London" "Kathyrn Jones"
" K Jones" "London"
So you dont get matches with Katie(Smith) in one spot and (Mick)Jones in another.
Quotes keep the words from separating. - Once you Google something..then the Advanced Seach
option comes up. Thats handy to use.

Find schools in the area that you think she might have attended
You can probably search London England Schools
Many classes have Facebook pages. Mine does, if I search the name of the school and
my year of graduation. Try all the schools in that area. There might be someone you can contact
For security reasons, they might not give you information..but see if they will at least contact her with your email address ( or better yet--your home address) to get in contact with you. Watch your spam folder..as it might go there by accident. Home address w/be better.

If she has an unusual name.. this is SO much easier. Common names are very hard to find
Try sites like Ancestry.com Maybe you can find an Obituary with a grandma >>> giving her mom's location etc. Search anyone who she might still have contact with..brother etc.

If you feel an extremely strong heart tug on this..keep at it. There might be a reason behind it.
I found a friend with an extremely common name ..here in the US. I hadnt had contact for 20 yrs.
I couldnt let it go. Turns out.. he had lost his job. Was essentially homeless..sleeping in the park & in great danger. (* no phone * no address * no computer for contacting him) I found his brother-whom he contacted from time to time..but his job situation wasnt good either. Sent my friend bus fare to get there
Both finally got back to reg life now. Just needed a small helping hand. Me !

I dont know how it is in the UK.. our school we graduate from has yearbooks w/ photos
Sometimes they are online even. Or at the library. If you can even get this much-- you can work w/
someone at the school. Ask them, if you mail them a short note,if they will forward it to her last known address or parents address.
You possibly could post " Does anyone know Katie Jones in London ?" in the London Travel Category
No one probably will..but questions from Y!A post on search engines. She might search her name some day and find it. Make sure you allow emails on Y!A
Good Luck !
