Relationship advice for begginer? (Little lengthy but PLEASE)?

Wellp, i'm 14, soon to be 15. I'm in high school, I'm nervous about a boy though.
I've been in a school with the same people since 6th grade (6-12 school)
I'm known as a crazy, unstable, yet funny and sweet girl. Ive fallen for guys , had BIG bad experiences that made me look bad when people didnt know the full story.
There's a boy, we'll say his name is Ben. He's white, chubby, adorable, LOTS of freckles, giner hair, green eyes. I've been his friend since 7th grade. He's always supported me through anything and all. He really cares about me. He teases me, smiles alot, and makes sure I'm okay. Some signs of a crush. My best friend (also his since 2nd grade) told him I liked him yesterday. He was shocked he said "Nuh UH. What!?" And asked about it 3 times. Asking why wasnt I in school, and why my friend didnt tell him sooner. I facebook'd him, he hasnt been on. He's so sweet. Were both similuar to lots of people. Sweet, funny, shy, caring, and NEVER HAD A BF/GF. I'm nervous.. pleaseeee help? (:

If he wants to know why she didn't tell him sooner then it sounds like he likes you too. Just see where it goes..
