How do I hide my network and gender in basic information on facebook?

So facebook has a new set up I guess and when I go in my private settings, change sum things around & view my profile I see that my network and gender still pops up in basic information. but when i look at someone elses I cant see theirs. how do i hide those? & is there ways to hide groups/fan pages as well?

No, it's not possible in new facebook privacy settings. From their official quote i have read this.

You can't hide "friend list", "pages you are fan of" , "network", "gender" in your public profile........You may think some people are not showing their friend list in their profile but mark my words: they are still accessible to applications........So using some application you can watch all of these informations.
