How to add and talk to random girls on Facebook without looking like a creeper?

So I have a friend who somehow is able to get any random girl to talk to him and accept his friend request. He makes hip hop music, so maybe he's just asking them to check out his music. He won't give me a clear answer on he does it. Is there a way to talk to random girls on facebook without looking like a creep?

Maybe it would seem less creepier if you have mutual friends with the girls you want to add.

you are probably just going to look like a creeper. You're friend probably does, too. Just because girls talk to him doesn't mean they don't think he's creepy. I personally would never talk to someone I didn't know or have a mutual friend with.
