I would like to know what the easiest way to make a website like facebook is. If it's using a CMS, what is it? Is it joomla or wordpress or drupal or what, If it's using pure coding, what code/language is it? Are there the templates?
where do I start? what are the steps?

The easiest way?

You hire several teams. You need teams to handle the frontend, teams to handle the backend. You need a team of graphic artists, a team of database administrators, a team or two to handle the system administration of the servers. Don't forget your legal team, a tech support team.

There are tools to make a social network like BuddyPress from the Wordpress people or Socialgo. You might want to try these out. The other option is to build a custom one but its not exactly easy.
