Just had a curiosity why is NFL and MLB more popular than NBA they have more supporters on Facebook/Twitter?

There are much more fans on youtube/facebook/twitter for nba than nfl and mlb. I love nba more than any other sport but I hate how it is less viewed.

I think people under 30 generally are more likely to be NBA fans, where as older people are likely to be NFL or MLB fans. Younger people like things on facebook more often too, when somebody over 30 uses facebook they generally just add their friends/family and don't bother following things.

It's harder to be a fan of a sport you obviously can't play.

There's this perception that anybody, of any shape or size can play baseball.

But if you can't play basketball, it's so obvious to everyone. If You 're not tall, you're not thin, you're not fast, maybe you're not as young as you used to be, you're going to drift away.

And nobody can play football. Seriously, 99.99% of all people are just so monstrously bad at football, and nobody ever plays any competitve games it's just taylor made to be a sport for the fans.

It also doesn't help that the number 1 basketball league in the world is frought with corruption.

The NFL is the best sport to watch. NBA/Basketball is the best sport to play. I think that there are the most people playing baseball out of all these sports, so the MLB pages have more followers.
