The option to "send an update to fans" has disappeared from my Facebook fan page-any help?

I maintain a "Fan Page" on Facebook for my business. Every week I send out my store's newsletter via FB as an update. Today, I go to send the newsletter and the option to "send an update" to fans has disappeared. Any help as to why it disappeared and more importantly, how can I send out my newsletter?
Carolina- Unfortunately that does not work. Now when you follow those steps it takes you to a page to create an ad promoting my page. There is no option there to send an update to fans.

Same thing happened to me today. WTF??

I have the same problem and I'm not impressed. I paid for advertising on Facebook to promote my fan page and now it looks like they've taken away the ability to communicate with fans.

I tried clicking on "settings" and I don't see anything relevant in there.

Select Edit Page

under the section: "Promote your page"
