How do I make a Facebook fan page?

I have never made one. I have gotten permission from both the campus and my corporate office to set up a page. I want to be able to update students on sales, new products, current promotions, and the term schedule. I want to know how to set it up so that it is not attached to my personal Facebook account so that if I move to another store the next manager can take over the page.

I work at a college bookstore if that helps to make more sense.
