why do people put # before some words on facebook?
example: #swagg orr #teampuffballs
i kno on twitter it means u wana tag that word or whatever, but what about on facebook? does it do anything for faacebook? or ppl just do it for fun Ads |

People probably do it for the same reason, only this time the site doesn't really have support for the specific hashtags. Other times, people have apps that automatically put their tweets onto their Facebook account, and as such, any hashtags simply get copied over.

Its a hashtag. It does absolutly nothing except make them look dumb.
