Do girls date younger guys as often as guys date younger girls?

Going to try and make this short. Basically i've noticed whether it be online through facebook, skype chats etc or in real life (since my cousin is 25 and we live in NYC so we are always out and there are so many college students) that i would be talking to a girl whos in college or more and everything is going good, i can tell she is feeling it until i mention i'm 16. All of the sudden i get this "you are a child" kind of look though i'm absolutely sure if i said i was 19 or 20 they would still be interested. Everything is different after that and i don't get it. I know loads of 15-17 yr old girls go out with college guys or more. Is it not like that for women?

I'm the same guy they seemed to like before its just now that they know i'm 16 its as if i'm different and its getting annoying. I'm tempted to just start telling people i'm 20 or something Lol.

Psychologically girls mature quickier than guys so its normal for a girl to date a guy 3 or even 5 years older than her. As for us guys just forcus on your age mates or younger.

Don't start lying about your age. If you get caught out it won't be good. Anyway, it depends how much younger? I know some friends who have been out with guys younger but in the same year group as them. In general though it isn't that likely for girls to go out with someone younger, girls are more attracted to mature older guys.

When I was 16, I dated guys as old as ten years older than me yet only 9 months younger than me. Perhaps in your region it's against the law. In Nevada the legal age of consent is 16 but in many other states the age of consent isn't until 17 or 18. If that's the case with your state, it is literally illegal for these girls to have sex with you. I'm not saying you shouldn't still be able to but I personally WOULD NOT be willing to go to jail over dating a minor. Often it's as simple as that. I think once your the age of consent in your state you'll find more freedom there, and once you're 18 you'll be totally free of the double standard you feel you're facing.
