Should I text her today?

On Thanksgiving my cousin came up to me and told me the woman who babysits for her is a freshman at my college and is having a hard time fitting in and finding friends.I'm a junior so I know a few more people. My cousin gave the girl my name and she added me on facebook and sent me a message saying hello. Turns out she's really good looking. We sent a few messages back and forth and I said "You should text me sometime to hangout! with my number. She said "Omg yes I'd love to"and sent me back her phone number.

I wanted to play it cool and not text her right away. The last time I talked to her was Sunday night so I was thinking about texting her today. Or should I wait for her to text me? I was thinking of just saying "hey sarah i was wondering if you wanted to meet up today if your not busy?" Also, when we do meet, I don't exactly have a big group of friends. I mostly have my small group of friends that I stick to and that's it. S I'm not sure how to show her a good time without making it obvious I don't have a lot of friends here either.

You should. I think she will like it better if you texted her first. Most girls are to scared to make the first move. And just be yourself, she will like you for who you are, no matter how many friends you have

you seem to be a nice person.
i would go ahead and talk to her, well not exactly share any secrets yet. but once you get to know each other well enough, you should step forward and share you problems with her(if you have any problem). but if she doesnt open up and tell u something about her problem then you might still stay as aquaintances and may not me friends after that. so to become friends both the people shall open up about the feeling, problems and secrets.
