how do I download tweets from twitter?

My friend has a page on twitter and he would like to have all of them backed up to a flash drive for safe keeping. Please help.

Copy and paste individual tweets to a text file, and save the file to your hard disk.

Use a basic tweet backup service to index and download up to 3,200 of your most recent tweets as a spreadsheet (such as Excel) or PDF (such as Adobe Reader).
